OUR STORY

Mill Lane Cider Company was founded in 2017 to produce high quality cider from local apples. The aim is to produce craft cider made with 100% apple juice from apples local to the North Essex area and eschewing artificial ingredients. All the juice is freshly pressed apples with no concentrate, colouring or preservatives used.

The company was founded by two ex-IT Directors: Bernard Bazley and Peter Parkinson, who gave up executive life in the City of London to fulfill a lifetime ambition to brew cider.

Mill Lane cider was first sold at the Chelmsford Beer and Cider Festival in July 2019, where the Still Medium/Dry cider won the CAMRA Essex Cider of the Year award, competing against 10 other Essex ciders. Our cider was also sold at the Pig's Ear Festival in Hackney in December 2019.
